You are thinking camshaft, which would be 180 degrees out. You have to rotate the crankshaft one whole revolution to get the #4 cylinder to fire and the #1 to be where the exhaust valve is closing...

Available at Pep Boys in 1958. Try ebay. The ones at Pep Boys had a wheel that rode on the steering wheel to turn the indicator off after the turn was executed.
