I think I've miscommunicated: my A has a '30 cap and per 'mACs' is vented. I just can't see the vents and apparently it has become non venting while fixing some leaks ...

Tom, I regasketed, replaced float on the fuel gauge and new screen to glass filter bowl.
Now it appears engine starves when cap on tightly...
My question is where does fuel system get vented to...

Axel Grease cups
Tried over at HAMB to figure out what to do to get axel grease cups on my 30 axel with my '32 16" wheels .
Ordered '30 cups not knowing they would be too tall for the '35 hub caps.
Think someone...

Just set brake handle and: couldn't manually turn left rear but right rear spins easily....
What,s to lose if I tighten the Clevis some?

I'm not sure if it is unlocking due to worn pawl or my suspicion of just insufficient force applied to the shoes. Don't understand the being too tight comment unless it also is aimed a worn pawl.

Not having anything except steering column and box, still not sure how MACs " measure from top of rod under light switch to 'keeper' groove just before bottom end" is...

30 gas gage removal
Don't want to break anything so...
Outer ring removed but remaining assembly appears stuck although it can rotate.
Thought I'd ask for suggestions.

My 30A came without the subject and I'm ready to install an assembly if:
I can determine if the two-tooth is a Gemmer (?) or Ford and therefore needs a 43 or 44" shaft?? I'd rather not cut off and...

Engine number illegible
Any way to recover the illegible engine number. Firewall has a number but still would like the engine number. Seems like I remember guns with serial numbers removed and number being recovered...

Shipping costs
seems to cheap me that model A parts are expensive to ship and wondering if any way to reduce the cost.
$10 to ship a $9.99 item seems darn steep to me .

Does manifolds/carb assembly have to be removed before valve cover & oil return pipe?
Is exhaust manifold torqued in steps to the 25-39? is last step hot?
