It is the crab distributor on the earlier engine and all 3 carbs are working with progressive linkage. I'll try the adjustment suggested. I'll also check the internals and make sure they are in good...

I've read a lot about ford flathead overheating problems along with head gasgets, radiator, thermostats and waterpumps as possible problems. I'm wondering if the distributor advance on a 59A block...

30 Wt Non Detergent. Dergent oil is designed to suspend particulates until the oil runs through the filter where it is removed. It makes no sense to me to run the dirty oil back through the bearings...

Please give us an update when you get them on. I have a pair of front fenders that I primered and stuck in the attic several years ago. The back ones went on easily and fit well.
