I put used diesel oil in my A that sat since 1971, it took about 3 weeks to free up. make sure you take the carb and exhaust off. after that it fired up and ran great.:)

Is there a way to tell if a late 31 is originaly a deluxe? I know you could restore one to be a deluxe but is there something to look for.

When I got my Model A it had been sitting for 45 yrs. I googled unsticking a Model A engine, what I found was to put used Diesel oil in the spark plug holes until full, used diesel oil is more acidic...

The car is a indented firewall 2 dr Sedan, I was looking for a 2 dr because of the Grandkids. The body is super solid, the interior looks like is was redone in the 50's, It was probably painted then...

Just got a late 31

:confused:I bought a late 31 last month, its been sitting since 1971 on blocks. The engine was tight but with drain oil I got it to turn over. I would like to try and start it. What should I look for?
