Have a 31 pickup. Started to run hotter than it normaly does. Found that the problem was a restricted after market fuel filter, causing the engine to run lean.
Hope this help some one along the way....

Make sure the line coming out of the tank is clear. I had some rust at the tank and it did the same as yours. Blow back from the gas line into the tank.

Went to "Mikes" Picked up all 4 new brake drums and installed. Problem solved.

The only thing I can think of, is the shoes are not radius properly. As soon as I get a chance I will check that.

I added this "option" to my 31 and the breaking go worse in stead of better.
Any words of wisdom berfor I rip it out and chunk it?!!

31 trans.

My trans. has started jumping out of 3rd gear going up long hills. It is a stock trans. Any ideas what is wrong with it?

I am interested in the splash shields. My 31 has the 2 piece 30 splash shields and I was going to bid on them if they are the late 30 thru 31 one piece splash shields.
