1929 Model A Sport Coupe

1929 Sport Coupe in super condition. A couple of minor paint issues (chips) but otherwise beautiful car. Totally restored before I bought it and I've only put 1000 miles on it.

Will give it a try. Already have two phenolic spacers in there trying to prevent that very thing.

Turns over fine and starts up when cold.

Run to town (10 miles), shut it off, pick up whatever from the store, hop back in 5...

I'm "cheating" here. This issue is on my 1940 LaSalle but I figured the theory and tests would all work the same. There is no cutout on this generator.

I have and use a spark plug cleaner that is pneumatic with very fine grit. I then blow the plug out with an air hose and away I go.

Seems to work so far. Anyone have a history with one of these...

On a 6 volt positive ground flat head V8, and if everything is working correctly, can I remove the negative cable from the battery while the car is running and expect the car to continue to run on...

I don't honestly know. I think my LaSalle might be original issue as it "looks" like it is although it runs real nice.

Bill's '39 is rebuilt and has always had that issue if I understand him...
