Re: Southside Obsolete

I received some NOS brake rods from Fred yesterday. Great service, as ususal. Most of the time there is no need for anyone to to air their "dirty laundry" or perceived dissatisfaction publicly. ...

Re: history on 34 cabriolet

Very nice. Enjoy. I think the Cabriolet is a very practical body style. 'Love Roadsters but having roll-up windows is a real treat.

Re: sandblasting chrome rims

I made the mistake of a sandblasting attempt on a door garnish molding for my 36 3 W. Just made a mess. As others have recommended, go see the plating shop. Just a very short immersion will take...

Re: Just won't fire up.

I had a similar issue. After hours of trial and error, I discovered a small air leak at the electric fuel fitting on one of my cars.

If anyone is sitting on a pair of 35-40 male offset door dovetails, I'd pay more than I should! Need for a 37 Ford Cabriolet. Thx. Ron 780.679.7070

Re: Tighten up 37 brakes

Mark, is your 37 wearing the original brake system, or has it been converted to hydraulics.? Experts on this site will be able to help further based on your answer.

Re: where is this all going

We've had Covid in our family and trust me it's not good. Those who downplay this pandemic will rapidly get a dose of reality once this bug bites them directly. It's always someone else's problem...

Re: United Pacific fender reviews

Very nice product. I did notice that the rolled over "lip" of the fender isn't quite as tight as Henry Ford original but for me that wasn't a big deal. Great and easy fit.

Re: 33 in the hills

This great story and this beautiful old Ford make most of us, and our cars, look pretty soft.

1937 dash trim vendor or on-hand inventory

I see there is a valued F'Barner who used to produce 37 Ford dash trim (Donald Vagasky aandtman on this site) . According to an old post, which I regret missing at the time, he was taking...

Re: for sale listing of the day!

When it's the last piece of the Ford puzzle and deep pockets get in the way of sound logic, it's shocking what one may do. Now get out there hold your nose, bid and buy! Then sober up in the morning...

Re: 1937 speedo gear failure/replacement

I'm replacing the drive gear which is engineered into the "turtle". It's served me well for thirty years to perhaps it's just old age. I will add a scoop of JD grease into the opening. I assume more...

1937 speedo gear failure/replacement

when replacing the speedo drive gear on my 37 Ford, it seems to me that it likely failed due to lack of lubrication. I use JD corn head grease in the U-joint. Why would the gear not be getting...

Re: Marvel Classic Motor Oil

Call me a believer. MMO worked to loosen up stuck valves in a 36 Ford LB engine parked for thirty years. I add 5 ounces at every oil change to my high-mileage 2008 GMC Sierra pick-up and there is a...

Re: '36 Ford pickup coming together....

Black is beautiful but near impossible not to be frustrated with. It's ice to see someone breaking the mold and choosing a non-traditional, easy-to-care-for color scheme. I like it a lot! Nice work.

When switching a 37 Ford over to 39/40 style hubs and hydraulic brakes, do off-the-shelf (repro) cables still work, without any mod's to activate the e-brakes? Thanks in advance
