Re: New Car- New Member- LOTS of questions!

Welcome to the Fordbarn. That's a very nice looking '34 cabriolet. I don't think you got a lemon, and have no idea if you got a steal, but it definitely will be a beautiful driver that will get a lot...

Re: Winfield Tool KRW Hub Puller

I believe the insinuation made in the above post was the Vintage Precision is of better quality than the KRW....Because the Vintage Precision doesn't push directly against the axle end like the KRW....

Re: Winfield Tool KRW Hub Puller

Mac, I believe the quality of the Vintage Precision version is equal to the Winfield/KRW pullers, but if those rental items sprout wings, I'd be out of that business as well.

Re: 1935 16 spoked rims

If you are referring to my 35 fordor sedan with 7.50 x 16 radial tires on the rear, the answer is yes, they have tubes designed to be used in radial tires..

Re: Conversion of Cutout to solid state

I've heard that Fun Projects electronic cut-out conversions are no long available. The story was they were bought out by another company, and that company discontinued that product. Maybe someone...

Re: 1935 16 spoked rims

I've had a set of Diamondback (smoothed blackwall Yokohama LT radials) 750 x 16's, on stock '35, 4" wide spoke wheels for 15 years. These tires and wheels have been on my '35 fordor sedan on many...

Re: Charlie Price Vintage Speed

I bought some Stromberg 97 throttle shaft's from him about 12 years ago, and they were so poorly machined that there was apsolutly no way I would consider using them. I can't recall now all of the...

Re: 59A Engines Distributor Options

In my opinion the Ford helmet and crab distributors are both very good distributors, and once set up properly with quality components and timing set correctly, will work well for many trouble free...

Re: Flathead Intake ?

Ol' Ron, it would be of great interest for me if you would post a picture of how that intake was hollowed out to make it run better on your stock car.

Re: Flathead Intake ?

Terry has it correct....early '35. I believe he, David G. and Don Rogers all had something to do with educating me on the differences between '34, early '35, later '35, and '36. All four are easy to...

Re: Steering box light switch

I have a set of Coker 600x16 Classic WW radials and also a set of Diamondback radials, 750x16 rears (Yokohama's), & 550x16 fronts (Michelin's). Both sets use tubes made specifically for radial tires...
