Re: Install radiator hardware?
So, it doesn't matter if the bolt comes up thru from the bottom or down thru from the top?
I think I did it your way, Drolston. Been so long i can't remember how I did it. Terry

Re: Wood top ribs question
I'm assuming that all the closed cars for 36 had the chicken wire. And over the wire there was a thin padding material before the long grained top fabric goes on. I'm getting this from the 35-36 Ford...

Re: Inner Tubes for Radials?
I have Diamond backs on my '36 Ford sedan...no inner tubes. I think their direction for rivets inside tdhe wheel was to cover them with something. Can't remember what i used. I've had no trouble at...

Re: Another dumb question?
Thanks Coopman. You helped a lot 'cause I didn't even think about the "C" And "T" letters either. Terry

Another dumb question?
Looking at flathead engine specs, I noticed that with the exception of the '34 ford (40A) there is no A at the end of the model #s Till 1938 (81A). Then they all end in "A" until 1949 (98BA). What...

Re: No door key
Phil, I replaced my door lock cylinder several years ago and resigned to having to use 2 different keys. Is there such a thing as getting a key that would also work on the ignition cylinder without...

Re: Choke/throttle rods set up
Same trouble with the throttle on my "36. Somebody said they used a clothes pin to keep it in place. Maybe i'll just do the same. Terry

Re: R3 Generator - cutout, voltage .....
For what it's worth, I had my 3 brush generator exchanged for a similar one that was converted to 2 brush and 12v. I kept this type of gen so i could still attach the fan to the
generator pulley....

Re: R3 Generator - cutout, voltage .....
I used a 12v pos regulator from Fun projects for many years. The problem is that you will need to adjust amps with the 3rd brush to around 9 amps maximum. The reg finally went bad, perhaps 'cause i...

Re: 39 coupe interior
If I'm reading you both right, sounds to me that the mat and insulation were put down separately on an original 39. When i took old mats out of front and back of my 36 sedan, they were one...

Re: 1936 slant back parking light sockets.
Mac's offers a turn signal conversion kit with wires. It says you must drill a hole in the reflector that's 3/4", but the 36 already has that hole...don't know its diameter, though. Terry

Re: Drivers Side Front Door Latch
This was a safety feature that made the driver get out on the curb side of the car rather than get out into oncoming traffic on the driver side. When out on the passenger side, you must then use...

Re: Drivers Side Front Door Latch
The same is true with my 36 Fordor sedan. This was a safety feature that made the driver get out on the curbside instead of opening the door into oncoming traffic, if you wanted to lock your car. The...
