Re: Getting 31 Coupe doors to stay closed !!
Just a thought, some of the reproduction door bumpers are not the proper thickness or shape on the top of the door, and the bottom of the door. They can be hitting first and not allowing it to close...

Re: Help!!!
Yes check fuel, and perhaps the points need to be cleaned up, especially if it has been sitting for a while. Check to see if you have power to the junction box, both terminals; power to the coil ,...

Re: ignition
I run 4 Model A's with points, well over a 100,000 miles combined. The ONLY time I was left on the side of the road, was with an electronic ignition set up when it failed. I personally am NOT a...

Re: OSHKOSH Update!!!
This is almost all Model A parts. All the goodies come out for the national meets. Seems like 40-50 sellers (could be wrong with my guess)? Not sure what to expect this year, but always good stuff...

Re: 1930 roadster hood latches
The front hood latch bolts through the hood latch, fender and frame rail. The rear latch bolts through the hood latch, the fender and the pad on the frame with slotted holes. You would order hood...

Re: 30-31 rear bumpers
I am not really 100% sure why that would be, my hunch is that some reproduction ones, do not have the proper arc. I recently had some originals plated and I looked for the best set that I could. I...

Re: 31 Tudor measurement
They are the same splash apron, the outside rolled edge still looks more sharp of an edge than the originals. Might be the picture though.

Re: 31 Tudor measurement
It is kind of an awkward measurement there because it curves and the measurement gets larger as you go forward. About where you have your mark I am at 1 inch and it is 1 1/4 inches on the other side...

Re: 30 Coupe Cooling question
I am certainly not a radiator expert by any means so sorry to cause confusion. My thought was if water is restricted from flowing through many of the tubes in the radiator, it would then reduce the...

Re: Radius rod rubber ball replacement.
I would grease both the inside and outside. The ball will have some movement, so a lubed ball is better. Then I think I would look at the original set up and go with that when you have the chance. ...

Re: 30 Coupe Cooling question
It is not normal to loose any coolant driving down the road. I find myself kind of in Jackson's camp, regarding the radiator. Not knocking the radiator shop by any means, but it seems like the flow...

Re: Rear fender support bracket
Forged is the "round ones" vs. stamped. The fronts were forged as well for your car. The front and rear are the same style. As mentioned, there are two widths of rear brackets, one for roadsters,...

Re: Upholstery question
Vern,
Do you mean between the upholstery and the backing, or in the door for insulation? There is a little padding between the actual upholstery and the carboard backing. On the door panels and the...

Re: Can't get engine to idle down
Two thoughts:
1. May be the dumb one, but there are two plates, the throttle and the choke. Be sure they both close and open. Choke open and throttle closed.
2. The throttle plate has a bevel...
