I have a 1928 60a, a 1930 ccpu and a 1931 Tudor. The Tudor has more legroom and you can make or buy legs for the seat to move it back another two inches.

From the angle seen in picture #3 it looks as though the spring eye is resting on the axle tube. The shackle needs to be pried up from the axle tube.

will still charge while the engine is running but the battery would...
