Re: Sad News.

Sad news indeed. My condolences to the family. I met Jerry a couple times but didn't know him well and it's a shame I won't have that opportunity.

Re: Tools

I tend to agree with this. For consumer grade tools even the chinese craftsman made today is adequate for most home and DIY wrenchers. Most home DIY wrenchers aren't hobbyists like we are though...

Re: Your Model A

I inherited my Model A from my grandfather. I took an interest in his derelict coupe stashed in his garage when I was very little. I would climb over piles of stuff in his unused garage stall to...

Re: tie rod rubbing

Sometimes its a combination of things. My front end had taken a hit at some point and as a result the wishbone was bent, my front axle was bent, tie rod was bent. I straightened my axle, replaced...

Re: I plan on shaking things up at the Model A club hubley event today..

Haha interesting discussion on changing your hubley. I was quite surprised my car won and just thought I'd get a laugh bringing a hot rod.

The bit about no modifications could be interpreted as...

Haha thanks! I think 160B had a hand in helping the runner up also. ;) (Mrs. 160B) I think I came in nearly dead last in my first event 5 years ago. I figured I needed to be a quick learner with...

Re: I plan on shaking things up at the Model A club hubley event today..

In order to draw youth into the hobby many clubs race them on a track like pinewood derby cars. It has resulted in all the old guys ACTING like kids. :p. :D

Re: Banned for How Long?

I have seen some people that I thought I was getting to know, and respect to some degree get banned - but the reasons are quite simple and when you think of it I can't blame Ryan for doing so. It...

Re: Model A Amature Radio Operators

KC0REK here. I have a small dual band handheld but haven't really been on air in years. I just don't seem to have the time lately. One of these days I'd like to get back into it some more.

Re: Just wondering : what's your year of birth ?

Since I was messing around with Excel I had thought to make a histogram of the data for fun. I took a graduate level statistics class in college 13 years ago as a geography grad student and used to...
