Re: woodgrainers?

Bob Kennedy used to do it in the L.A. area, but I believe he has passed away. He was a member of the Early Ford V-8 Club and if you have a roster perhaps you could call and his wife may know of...

Re: What happened?

Pushing coolant or water out the overflow tube tells me the radiator is partially plugged. have you ever taken the radiator out and had it tested or rodded out. If the hoses are old, cracked, and...

Re: Nessary spare parts for 1500 miles trip

Mike mentions a spare tire and I didn't not see it on your list. Definitely a necessary item.

Re: 47th annual Petaluma, Ca. Swap meet.

Pete, thanks for posting the flyer. I have an error in my original post. The size of the swap space is 20'X25' and not 20'X30'.

Re: I'm lost, gas gauge pegged passed full

You may not be getting a good ground. Run a ground wire from the sender to a clean ground on the frame and see what happens. The aftermarket senders have never been known to be friendly to the stock...

Re: '48 truck oil pressure gauge

Did you use anything like teflon tape when installing the sender? If so you don't have a good ground for the sender and affects the gauge reading..

Re: 1940 Ford Gas Cap

Napa Auto Parts sells a vented cap for the early Fords as do most of the V-8 parts vendors. I'm not sure about the new locking caps but the older ones would spill gas onto the fender from the key...

Re: Rear Shock and Anti-Sway Kit HR-18000-K&BD 1935-40 Car

I installed the sway bar on a '40. I just drilled out the two rivets and there was no need to clamp the frame. Detonator does bring up a point that the brackets do not set parallel, but the rubber...

Re: 8BA in '40 pick up--hoses

I make a pattern out of old pieces of hose and some plastic pipe. Once I get the correct shape I go to the local Napa store and compare it to their hose selection Many times you will probably have to...

Re: V-8 Times

You need new glasses or longer arms. As Dave indicated the font size has not changed and the new roster is great with the larger font and the lines dividing the names. Great improvement.
