I have always wondered why the recommended torque for v8's is 200 foot pounds and the model a's are 100. Same set up.

I'm no expert on this but I've heard that sodium silicate repairs are used only on water jacket cracks. Check with Richard at Antique Engine Rebuilding in Skokie Illinois. He only works on Model A...

Not sure if this is true but I have always heard that woven for mechanical brakes and molded for hydraulics.

I bought my Diamondback wide white wall radials for my 39 Std through Discount Tire. Same price as buying direct from Diamond back but saved money on mounting and balancing, plus you get free flats...

marko39 nailed it. Sometimes my 39 std. gauges don't work, even with the engine running, until I move the ignition switch just a little.

I always give the pumps a squirt of oil down the oil feed hole when installing a new pump.

FYI, I put one in my 39 Std. Coupe and the only thing I had to do was to hammer the corners at the tunnel just a little for clearance but I didn't have to cut any of the floor.

That's what it's called at Mike's "A" Fordable and several other vendors. 31/31 Roadsters only. It attaches to the wood on the backrest and to the package tray.
