I suggest doing a string test of the right frame rail top while the body is off. It may save you some grief later when you try to align the hood.

you might try stronger springs on the accelerator pump arms. One of the hot rod sites sells them. I used them on a 6x2 carb set up to get the idle down to make sure the butter flies close. Stay on it...
