Thank You for the information, David. I have seen original caps with "SM" (Stant Manufacturing) in a small circle nearby to the part number. My cap with part number B-8100-AR2 does not have "SM" but...

Powder Coating works well if your wheels are flawless. But often rust pits and other imperfections need attention that requires filler and primer.

Re: 1936 speedo to 5 speed tranny
I put a 1985 S10 5 speed behind my flathead using an adapter kit from Cornhusker's. It was a plug and play set up. Speedo gears are available from many vendors if needed.
