Kind of hard with an updraft carb. I would dump a LOT into the gas tankto not too much gas and run it. JMO

Put in an elec pump (flow thru) near the tank and use it to prime the fuel pump.

I used a NAPA 6V in my Model A for over 9 years (2 in 9 yrs) and have another Napa 6V in my 40 now.

Unless you drop the pan and open the valve galley up and remove the existing sludge it's stilll going to be there. Lot of work IMO opinion for only driving what you do. JMO

I don't know (or care) what I get for mileage. 2 97's on an Almquist intake with Kogel hi-comp heads, Pertronex, Red's headers. I just put more gas in when it gets to about a 1/4 tank. Having too...

You should be able to do it yourself. Loosen all the bolts, remove them, get a body block kit, pry up the body gently and insert block(s). Tighten. Only problem I forsee is door alignment but then...
