Re: Shock Absorbers

I got the tubular set from Snyder's a year ago, the kit was easy to install. The ride and handling is very nice. If you aren't too concerned about an original appearance, this is a good option.

Re: OK! Let's get personal!

52, got my A 1.5 years ago but my Dad had a couple of them in the early-mid '70s so the bug has always been there to one extent or another.

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons

Sal,

It's got a mild 289/C4, a '63 Falcon V8 8 inch rear, and '65 V8 front suspension/steering with Granada spindles. Fun little cruiser, and just a bit better than the bolt action six banger it...

Re: How to pack a rear hub bearing video

I got raked over the coals by NAPA, they wanted $37 , I talked them down to $27. Live and learn. Brick and mortar keeps complaining about how online is killing them, perhaps if they weren't so prone...

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons

It's a '60, and I've had it for 30 years, but restored/modified it in 2007.

Re: How to pack a rear hub bearing video

Re: How to pack a rear hub bearing video

Re: Rear axle/hub nut torque

I'm pretty sure that I used a upper or lower ball joint nut from an early Mustang/Falcon V8, which should make the search a bit easier.

Re: Rear axle/hub nut torque

Original size, axle threads bad.

Not a shiny hardware store nut, a dark oxided nut with the tall castle tips for max thread engagement. Looks old, original or correct application to me, but...

Rear axle/hub nut torque

I am servicing the brakes and installing Snyder's shock brackets on my '28, and I have a question regarding the torque spec on the rear axle nut. It is 125 lb/ft per the Les Andrews book.

I've restored several early Mustangs and Falcons, and I'm used to repro parts that don't fit out of the box. I'm also used to making them work, which I consider to be a part of the hobby and in some...

Re: Sorry guys but I just can’t resist.

We take a lot of heat for our summer heat, but winter more than makes up for it. 69 today, forecast 78 by Friday. I'd post a picture, but it looks like any other time of year.
