Re: 6 volt Spartan horn on 12 volt system

When I converted to12v I rewound the horn field coils as per Tom Endys instructions. Horn never sounded better.

I followed Tom's instructions on rewiring the horn for 12 volts. Horn works better than it did on 6 volts.

When looking for a 5 speed trans. I wanted an s-10 because of the shifter location. A trans out of a 4-cyl has a low 1st gear and a not too tall 5th gear which is what I wanted. Could not find one...

The resistor will only drop the voltage from 12 volts to 6 volts when the learn is working.

I have Snyder's tube shock kit on my Town Sedan. I like the Snyders kit because you don't drill the front axle and the shocks have eyes, not a straight shaft mount. The rear shocks are about right...

Nosetime, the motor part of the pump is about 2 inches from the header, the fuel part of the pump is about 5 inches from the header. I was concerned about heat and thought about adding a heat...

I have seen foaming when using modern "long life" antifreeze. The antifreeze made for cars 1989 and older seems to work much better in Model A's. You can find it in most auto parts stores.

Had the same squeal with my engine. Spray the front crank seal with oil and squeal would go away, then return after a few hours running. Replaced with modern seal, no squeal and no leak.

I use ARP Ultra-Torque Assembly Lube on head nuts. Nuts don't stick to the threads.
I worried about the nuts loosening, but that a has not happened yet.
I torque Model A heads to 55 lbs.

Flathead is correct, when you burn gasoline, water is a product of combustion.
The Best website says to use copper spray on their graphite head gaskets. I do and it works well.
