He helped me out last winter with my carb and distributor. Walked me through some stuff I had never done. Couldn't ask for a better help, I greatly appreciate the time he took with me!!!

I play tube guitar amps....if its tube related it might be because of the jostling around when your moving, or a tube just going bad on it's own. Might try some contact cleaner on the tube pins and...

I would say yes, if there getting corroded , or heating up and pitting, that's adding resistance to the current path to your starter, imo

Thanks, Mark....as I recall, my Dad did have some work done to the radiator, perhaps rodded out like you say, I definitely remember putting the radiator back in with him, it was a pain, and the lower...
