Found the cure to my backfiring . The throttle was not closing all the way at the carb ,corrected that problem and no more backfiring.

Re: Throttle not returning to idle
I found that with this same issue that the fix was to slightly bend the tip of the ball that
the rod attaches to that goes to the throttle at the carb, back towards the slanted floor board.

I just did mine and found that all the bows are the same length and all have the same profile that matches the header and the rear most piece.

And remember that the gear shift lever moves upwards toward the dash to allow the driver to slide across the seat to the passenger side and exit .

The cure for the condensation is to add a couple of ounces of methelhydrate (gas line antifreeze) it will mix with the water and make it combustable.

If you are using a 6 volt system then a 6 or 12 volt coil will do , no resister required . But if using a 12 volt system then a resister is required.

Re: 12 volt coil on 6 volts
I use a 6 volt battery and a 12 volt coil no issues. 6 volt coils are twice the money and more in my part of the world. I believe that coils do not know the difference ?

Remove the seat and at the bottom of the backrest you will find a clip held with two screws about 12" from each side.
