Aftermarket ammeters are known to have poor connections on the internal studs. Which causes to much resistance. Resistance equals heat which equals fire. This can be fixed by taking it apart and...

E-bay has been my source for the proper cloth wire sold by the foot also the cloth sheathing with the tar coating also sold by the foot. Good luck with the speedster I’m just getting started on mine!

No idea how they did it but like you lots of masking and unmasking. I’ve probably spent 30 hrs or more just masking and painting. Still have pin stripe to do!

Open lens cover, remove bulbs, gently pull reflector bucket forwards it will slide right out.
