Re: 60hp engine

Be sure to check the market before you spend too much time or money on it. I think the only market is for restoring boats and race cars (maybe motorcycles) and I therefore believe the market is very...

Re: Jumping a 6 volt battery

How do you stop the crank from turning? Put the car in gear and set the brake.

You may know more than I do but I wouldn't think the torque requirement was that high as you are turning it clockwise...

Re: Need help-New to flatheads

The original radius rods scare me unless there is more support back at the rear end. The original torque tube took the twisting motion of the rear end and I assume it has been removed without adding...

Re: Rear axle ratio and car speed

Speedometer gears for that rear end ratio used to be difficult to find but I have noticed that Bratton's has them.

Re: Master cylinder

Without seeing it I would suspect the leverage of the linkage. When you push the pedal how much does the rod at the master cylinder move? When you say you don't have good brakes what are they...

Re: 16" Wheels

Remember if you run a 600-16 on your spare you will have to let some air out to get it into a wheel well. Carry a tire pump and everything is good. This is true on the '30-'31 and I assume the same...

Re: 1932 Ford 4 cylinder engine tins question

I always called them engine splash pans. Do your homework before you go shopping. I assume you have a copy of "The 1932 Ford Book" from the Early Ford V8 Club. There is an early drivers side pan...

Re: Greetings all - I'm a new owner

Picking a color should be easy. According to my older copy of the judging standards there were only about 37 factory colors to choose from. I assuming from the one piece splash aprons that your...

Re: "The Eviscerator". Is this OT? Or Almost OT? Or Right On The Money?

Years ago I asked my insurance agent what modifications would make my vehicle uninsurable by their company? Trust me, I wasn't considering anything like the first post. Their answer was "if it...
