Re: Pressure plate adjutant
So, why would Paul make all of the adjustment he did on the bench? Wouldn't it save time by just doing the adjustment one time when it is up with the flywheel?

Re: Pressure plate adjutant
I just watched PS's video. He adjusted the fingers till they just about touched the plate.
But don't you have to make another adjustment when the flywheel is on? Or is my brain out of...

Re: Knocking. Valves?
Sounds like valves but I can not tell. Install your timing pin in backwards to the timing gear.
Start the car and apply a firm pressure to the gear with the pin as its running. If the noise...

Re: Distributor wiring
So, for example with Bobs chart in mind. What tests would you do if it were to read 10 ohms or 12 ohms? Where would you start?

In the latest Ford article it talked about eliminating the lower distributor plate.
Sounds good to me. Does anyone see a problem in doing this?

Re: engine compression levels.
52 is pretty good.
If you have a standard head the math would be:
4.2x14.7. About 60 lbs on a new engine.
Some say the formula should be 4.2x14.7+14.7.

Re: Front left wheel play
I agree with synchro. I would start by taking the drum off, inspect the bearings, grease the bearings, and then tighten the proper way to rule out the bearing.
