Most of the belt tensioners tools were for an 8ba. The 59 engine wire looms don't allow their use. Here is one I made that provides a fulcrum point a bar or piece of wood. uses a front manifold...

What am I missing here? If you drive out the old shaft isn't the hole the correct size? Why do you have to drill it out?

You did not mention your plan for your pickup...show or drive? The thumbscrews you need are available in forged not stamped, at Fastenal. Get 4 and they all would be the same.

That shiny spot on the left was a built up "dimple" . 1/16" dia and .043 high. So the copper disc could not sit flat on...
