No, they did not. This is all Ford steel body and not a Shay. Has a Model A Trans and full drive-line.

Sounds great guys- I ordered a positive ground 6V alternator and have re-arranged all the wires as per Les Andrew's stock configuration in the Model A manual, and I am headed back to stock!

Okay here's the answer, I ran the 12V alternator to get it bench tested and it is stone cold dead. Wouldn't even accept voltage into it. That's why it sparked.

I went and corrected the wiring at the terminal block and inside the dash as per Les Andrew's book. Besides that, will the modern plug wires and cap be a problem?
