I donīt know about the laws in your location, but you could use your rear brake lamps to do the job, using an old switch ( Guide, and others ),that was added to the steering column back in the days....

This is getting interesting, so...what about the storage of an engine block? If gravity can distort a crankshaft, can I think that a block in vertical position could suffer the same effect?
