I do everything myself that I can. The front axle, brakes, steering, clutch, transmission and all engine parts and accessories have been cleaned, rebuilt and painted etc.,. and waiting on machine...

I took the engine out of my AA mainly because all the oil passages were plugged with 40 year old goo. It had really good compression. The babbit looked good but a little loose. Too much end play in...

I always just did it with two fielders gauges. One too big and one too small and adjust to go and not go. This one makes my head hurt.

AAA for breakdowns in antique?

I have been AAA auto club member for years. We tend to use up our cars before trading and have had 3 kids in college driving high mileage vehicles so one call to them for a tow or battery service...

If it is legally licensed I would just show up like nothing is out of the ordinary and use proper hand signals etc.,. as required. It takes way more skill to drive an antique over modern one.

There isn’t a lot of room in there. I had thought about doing a hot water heater, but since I found a big crack in my exhaust manifold and now have a brand new one I decided to try a manifold heater.

Every day I see adds: “parting out this model A” or “rolling chassis for sale, I’m keeping body”. Will there be any original cars left?
