Re: Starved for fuel

Check the coil and point gap! Could be a heat issue with points and a borderline defective coil! Don't think it would be the condenser as they are either good or bad!

Re: Registration Cost Question

These costs vary by state! I would venture California has some critical requirements Here in Missouri the requirements for using a vintage plate on an over 25 year old vehicle is to find a plate of...

Re: Sears Marvel 2405

Only a suggestion..... it is important to determine if the car has a intermittent electrical issue or a fuel issue. If a reliable source carb has been installed and the problem remains the same, I...

Re: Any advice?

It is either gas flow consistency or spark consistency! There is no mention of the gas tank being cleaned and 'rust sealed" This is one of those issues that allows the engine to start right up, run...

Re: Starter is not generating enough torque

I venture you have a vehicle with a 12 volt battery! Don't do this for very long but just touch the terminals to the starter and see if it runs! If so you may have a bad 6 v battery. otherwise if it...

Re: I think it's time to move to an alternator

Rebuilding the good ole Model A generator is the way to go if you wish to remain original. Some folks are not aware that Henry sized the generator to deal with battery needs for times the car was...
