Re: Frenzel

Judging by the pulley sizing I see, it appears this centrifigal blower operates at about 50% over engine speed. A ratio of 1 to 1.5. Seems low until I noticed there is a gear driven overdrive on the...

Re: Motor City Flathead question

My engine was built by Mark (RIP) in the early 90's. Looks like the same configuration as yours. Early heads (Offy) on a 8BA block, B&M blower, Potvin cam. The engine number is stamped on the right...

Re: Volkswagon Banjo Wheel

Not all t5's are created equal. Back 15 years ago you could buy a Mustang T5 from Summit for $1300.00 new. I bought 2 of them knowing the prices would go crazy, one for my 34 3 window and the other...

Re: Bad oil pressure?

If you are using electric oil pressure gauge ensure the needle is on '0' with power on. I had this problem with some expensive gauges (it showed -10psi) so I installed a mechanical gauge on the...

Basic rule is, if you overheat at slow speeds there is not enough air going through the rad. If you overheat at moderate/higher speeds there is not enough coolant flow caused by restrictions in the...

Re: Engine temp rises when I get to cruise speed

So Ronnie, on your blown engines do run 25 d at full boost?? Mine runs 5lbs of boost but as stated my boost retard scales it back anywhere from 1 to 3 d per pound of boost. I usually set it for 2 d...

Re: Engine temp rises when I get to cruise speed

I have a similar setup, blown 286" flathead. The first thing I would suggest is put a boost retard system in. If you are running only 18 d total that is not enough for the times you are NOT on boost,...

My steel '33 roadster was painted with Summit Racing 2 part, single stage urethane. I am happy with the results and definitely the price. All done by myself in a "wetted down" garage.

There are about 4.5 ltrs in a Imp. gallon so that's about $9.00 gallon. Our dillusional PM has brought in carbon taxes...
