‘38 21 stud engine

1938 21 stud engine complete, engine us stuck. $175. I have no use for it, but I don’t want to strip and scrap. Located in central FL. PM if any interest.

The rectangular holes are for the wood that the seat back goes against. The reinforced holes are where the cab bolted to the frame. Cab mounts were different locations between pickup and 1-1/2 ton...

Here is the pcv system I put on my 8ba. I welded bungs on bottom of intake to draw vacuum from both side of intake, used a pcv valve off a 63 comet 260 engine.

Nice no rusting or pitting 49-51 Mercury oil pan with baffle in bottom and the special pickup tube that sits in the baffle. Asking $250 + shipping.

Try heating studs near the block enough to melt ‘beeswax’ on the block end of the studs. The wax will suck into the threads (same idea as sweating copper fittings) providing lubrication...

In 1957 my father let me buy a 47 Ford sedan I was 11 years old. He figured I wouldn’t be hanging on the street corners and I might learn something useful in the process.
