Cleaning out dad's barn

Have lots of early ford v8 parts.
Engines, 34 front fender, 34 running bds, intakes and carbs.
rear spare tire holder. Various wheels etc.

Tube stabilizer?

I was told this is some type of stabalizer for my 34 coupe? It is about 36" long and 4 " on Diamiter.
It is sealed with some type of spring loaded weight inside. It weighs about 25 lbs.

So does anyone know if someone makes different length accelerator rods? The original was 9.5 in.
I have a made up 8 inch one but was way to short. I think I need something like 8.75 or 9 inches? ...

So I changed my old worn out 94 carb to a new stromberg 97. Now I don't have enough travel in the gas pedal for wide open throttle.
The 94 ball attachment was from the botton, under the throttle...
