39 Transmission 'CORE'

I have a 39 transmission for rebuild. will need input shaft. I comes with shipping box made by Vanpelt.


I also have a 37 trans. rear x mount $75

I do not quite understand. this box does not have the two finger sector or the top cover of the 36 style,but has a roller sector and worm gear. and it will bolt right in my 36 coupe. when viewed...

The number is on the bottom side of the box. the same location of the 39 box I have that is stamped/cast 78-3550 B

My green bible only shows a 3548 part number for all steering box assemblies. This box has the appearance of the 39 box but is somewhat smaller, mostly on the mounting side?

All discussions that I have read promote installing a 37-39 steering to improve the ease of steering in a 36 car. To do that the frame mounting bracket either has to be replaced with the later...

I have a steering box marked 01-a 3550. It has a roller sector gear and will fit the 36 mounting bracket. I have never seen this number nor heard of a roller sector in 1936. 1 purchased this gear box...

This was one of the hardest jobs on my restore. you will be lucky to save the joining bar that the screws thread into without ruining the threads. I made new bars and used 10/32x3/8 oval head screws

Listen to Mac vp he knows what he is talking about. There can be problems with throw out bearing and carrier using 0.5 pressure plate.

I had problems with the FW 9 1/2" clutch and the 1 3/8" 39 trans. shaft. The TO bearing carrier intefeard with the inside circumference of the pressure plate when depressed and the clutch fingers...

Those clips are junk. I never got the to work on my 36. The clips that come with new lens
Fit and work ferfectly. only five minutes to install. Good luck

I need help making a 39 trans. Connect to an 8BA 9.5" clutch..It seams the coller for the through bearing on the 1 3/8 " shaft interferes with fingers on the pressure plate, and the through bearing...

floor pan replacement

Can somebody reccomend a fabricator or body shop to replace the front floor pan in my
36 coupe, in the Spokane WA area. I thought I could save it but am recnsiddering it.
