I feel your pain wait till you put it back together. I replaced the passenger handle on my 1929 Coupe and it took be 45minutes with a lot of profanity and banging to finally get it back together.

I run straight Lucus hub oil in my cars and they shift like a dream and leak less. I highly recommend it you can search it there are threads on it and thats how I found out about it

Yes sorry it was late and I didn't know what I should do. I have had two old timers tell me now to put the pan on it a run it till it gets worse.
