Wonder what Ford called that panel....if you went to a Ford dealer back in the day , what did the parts book list it as??
I have no idea why its called a tulip panel....thats just the term i found...

1/8 - 3/16 will be my target
My lid actually fits well on the sides and does not rub..

That may be the best solution i've heard... The end result after trim install would be one nail in each hole ...and spaced 5/8" apart...

Dean : Thanks for your reply & info. I measured the oval holes and they are only 1/4" long Spacing is 5/8" on centers. So 2 nails per oval hole seems like a lot to me. And only 5/8" before the next...
