Re: Australian 1940-1941 Ford Open Cab Pick-Ups
It would appear that the truck shown in pix 32 is a 4x, the emblem attached to the side of the hood appears to be very similar to the Marmon-Harrington U.S. 4x conversions.
Pretty neat topic that...

Re: 1935/36 Ford pickup door lock
My experience with the '35 and later door locks, not the latch assembly, is that the replacements tend to be quite generic, fitting several makes and models. The door lock for my '39 Plym conv cpe is...

Asking a flat head fan about their preference for dual exhaust compared to headers, is like asking for their preference in woman, when it comes right down to it, 'any port in a storm works just...

Re: '41 Woodie headlamp bucket to fender question
Bailey, I think you would get a quicker and better response to your question if you started a new thread/topic that is relative to your project.. ie; 41 body mounting, re-assembly. Be specific with...

Re: 47 Serial Number to Original Paint Color
The serial number on the EFV8' is nothing more than just that, a serial number. The first two numbers denote that the vehicle was a V8 or a six, that is the extent of the info that Ford documented.

Re: 36' wing windows? i didn't know. . .
I have a pair of wind wings that look exactly like the pair shown in #1 of this topic.
They were on my '36 coupe in the early '50's, did not like them so I removed them and put them away..
The...

Re: 8 volt battery in a 6 volt car?
When I lived in Eastern Idaho during the '40's, '50's 8 volt battery's in a 6v vehicles were very common. I put an 8v battery in my '36 in '52, ran it until I moved to Vegas, then switched to 6v...

Re: 40 mercury flathead with columbia 2 speed
A little added info on Columbia's and carb's.
The '42-48 Columbia's are better units than the early units. The electric over vacuum shift controls from a '46-48 makes the Columbia's very user...

Re: 1936 Ford Passenger Pickup Front Fenders
I think it has been stated to you before that you should drop/discontinue the phrase "Passenger Pickup..
The 35-and later Ford pickups are just pickups, except for the '38 and later Tonners.

Re: 1938 Station Wagon / Defroster vent question
To the best of my knowledge the '39 and earlier, ie; any vehicle with a crank-out windshield did not have builtin provisions for defrosters. Ford did not offer hot water heaters until 1939, prior to...

Re: 1939 pedals
Most of the aftermarket master cylinder conversions I have seem leave a lot to be desired, the big problem is that they tend to hang below the frame, and therefore are an eye sore.

Re: 1936 Ford rearend gear ratio and speed
One of the rules I try to follow is; solve problems, don't create them. That said, trying to purchase a used 84 year old rear end in lieu of new components that are installed by a good mechanic does...

eagle43.. If i have read your tread correctly, your '52 had a floor shift and you are converting to a column shift OD trans.
Many years ago I restored a '37 Ford 1/2 ton.. I used a '47-48 Columbia...
