Re: Correct replacement for Fram C181-A?
Regarding the gasket size, the ones that come with the Fram C4P that I have used, fit nicely into the cover, and fit tight enough that I can turn the cover upright to install and the gasket stays in...

Re: Correct replacement for Fram C181-A?
I have used C4 and C4P in my 59AB filter housing. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two, but one must be better than the other, because it has more letters. :) Actually, I believe the...

Re: Trunk mat 41 convertible
If you click on FITMENTS below the pictures, neither one lists for a convertible. I'm assuming you don't have one to compare with the pictures, so gave a good look at the floor area of your trunk to...

Re: Generator Pulley Missing Coolaing Vanes
With three blades missing, depending on their relative location to each other, cooling isn't your main problem. Think of the speed the generator turns at, and unless those missing blades are equally...

Re: Brakes Bendix style
3wmike. If you are going with the Bendix kits, the supplier will need to know the width of the brake shoes. My '46 drums are 1-3/4".

Re: Adapting An OE Gas Tank Sender Unit
DrB. Looks like a nice job. Did you check to see if the toilet gasket was fuel proof? The PO of my '46 Coupe use a gasket material that was not fuel proof, and it made a mess inside the tank. It...

Re: Petronix better ?
So are you just asking about the coil performance, or do you have the Petronics unit as well? When I bought my '46 Coupe a few years ago, I thought I would go with the electronic ignition. After...

You are right Mike. For $500, it should be correct. Have you contacted Oak Bows about the poor quality. A valid question on the length to reshape to the correct profile. Measuring both pieces,...

Re: wood top bow supplier?
Kube. Just a suggestion, but the "bogus" bow looks like it is steam bent and not laminated. If steam bent , I believe it could be reshaped by steaming it, or soaking it in hot water to relax the...

One thing not mentioned, is that solder alloys have different melting temperatures. Some alloys, i.e. 50/50 and 60/40 are in the 183 to 212C range, while some may need as much as 300C to melt. ...
