no it is not an easy fix, lot of work to do that job. run compression, check for vacuum flutter indicating bad or stuck valves

122" ladder bar style frame, no x member. 40 3/4 tons had narrow trim and V8 stamped in hood as has been mentioned before. a bunch of other differences post some pictures

been in the sheds today. conclusion, I haver a lot of V8 parts/pieces/etc. just dug out of 50 brake shoes, I had just thrown them into a pile, clutch disc, pressure plates--a few rebuilt years ago....

leak is really coming from the threads on the stud, one a new stud installation I use permatex #2 non hardening on the studs. only way to seal the studs is from the water jacket side. on a problem...

use a stub axle and cut on lathe. old brake drum machines had a very small arbor to do this combo and not too many of them around

yes pound down to get out. the rubber grows and it all gets stuck. pictures of your 39?? just have been working on a 39 and 41 and just purchased a 47 1 1/2 ton trucks.

dash was originally welded in place, the same dash from 1940 to 1947 in all trucks. difference in 1940 there was a raised portion in the middle for a different emblem. should not be too difficult...

I could pour it in my 40 engine and watch it leak out as it was idling. rear slinger did not sling it back too good, dripped out front seal--switched back to 20w50 kendal and have been using it...

no door panels, just the metal door. no carpet on floor just rubber mat--so if you want these take it to a local uph. shop. seat , headliner, back of cab, cowl panels available from all good V8...
