I acquired a few model T parts at an estate sale and amongst them is a 32 manifold. While I’ve got my engine out and going through everything I’m wondering if y’all have any suggestions about...

Re: Distributor problem

I’m a good mechanic but what you wrote just reinforces all that my dad used to tell me and that was “ A good mechanics will do a crap job when he thinks he knows everything, it’s just a matter of...

Re: Tire wear - Brand

On my pickup I put the cheaper Lucas tires on. My dad has a Sedan and has used Goodyear, Firestone and Lucus and he got roughly the same amount of miles out of each set of them. In my opinion there’s...

Re: Gasket between manifolds?

Good advice here! I’ve got a trashed intake manifold that broke an ear because I tighten the intake and exhaust together before mounting everything on the engine….

Re: 1928 Frame questions

Whatever you do make sure everything fits together before going to paint. I made the mistake of using a 28-29 frame to build a 31 pickup and played hell getting everything to match up. Also make...

Re: Modern distributor spark advance

Give FS ignitions a call. They’re out of Ponca city, Oklahoma I believe. Get a better deal buying direct and if you have any issues at all they will stay on the phone and help you work everything...

1931 Center Hood Hinge Trim

Does anyone know of a nice looking trim piece that might go over the center hinge on a 1930 1931 Model A? I’ve seen something for a 1932 that looks like it would just clip over the hinge and can be...

Re: BAT-crazy prices and a 29 phaeton

It’s funny to read folks dicker over what someone else spends their money on. About like having neighbors that tell you what to do with the land you bought, and pay taxes on….

Re: Fender

It’s a shame when a man spends that much money on a reproduction part and still has to spend that much time in reworking them. But I suppose it’s what to be expected from trying to bring a 90+ year...

Re: Rope Wrap Steering Wheel

I went on Amazon and bought one of those covers the stretch over the wheel and then wrap with a plastic looking cord. It looks ok but I’m liking this look much better.

Re: Transmission gear gringing

Just want to say thank you for responding as to what the problem was. So many times folks ask questions and a lot of advice goes out but many times folks don’t comeback and tell us what the resolve...

Re: Coming over to the T side….1927 Touring

I was told by my grandmother that it is but I’ve often wondered. If you zoom in and look at the bottom of the lower windshield it looks to be straight across where as a 26-27 is curved at the bottom....

Re: Coming over to the T side….1927 Touring

I believe it is. My grandmother had told me that she was pretty sure it is but her eye sight was failing pretty badly when she had told me this.

I’ll start working on getting a video made up. Sure would be nice if Paul Shinn could give me some pointers cause I’m definitely not a videographer. Doing it with just my phone would be a bit...

Talking Re: Anyone interested in a video on how to make your own seat covers and interior pan

I completely understand the struggle brother. I’m 5’ 9” toting 250 lbs and a size 11 shoe. When I ordered my seat springs from Snyders I got the lowered seat with a taller backrest. There’s a process...

Re: cheap seat covers??????????

It really isn’t all that hard. What was the hardest for me was the putting the seat covers over the material and using hog rings to attach the material to the springs (which I do not suggest). ...
