Re: Ugly Copra Drab

My colors were matched from original paint found between panels and trim, where the sun would not have effected them, and they definitely were not brown hues. I think ford used large quantities of...

The 29 cross brace measure 29 7/8” over all
The early three hole 3 month brace measures 29 3/4”

Using the two hole...

The cross brace is the early 30 three hole style. Cape can you post a picture of yours. My town sedan does not have a rear spare tire.

Re: Help with Luggage rack

Well, now, I’m thinking the problem is with the crossbar brace. The car is a may 1930 town sedan and the brace is a three hole 1929.

Help with Luggage rack

What am I missing in installing the luggage rack? I was under the impression that without the rear spare tire I didn’t need the extensions.

On fordors did the center post get any pin striping?

When pin striping a 30 fordor, should the center post get any pinstriping between the doors? I am thinking the doors are too close together and the striping brush would ride over this gap from one...

Re: 1930 town sedan hole in cowl…what attached here?

It’s a conundrum for sure. I don’t know what the wood screws would attach to since the floor rail doesn’t come into contact with that hole, unless a separate piece of “filler “ wood was used.

Re: Chicle & Copra Drab Paint Formulas

Here is ours. Colors were matched from inner door jams and from the dodgy underneath the rear tire mount.

Re: fixed window seal

Is it a Murray or Briggs body? It makes a difference and the window seals are completely different.

Re: Murray drivers door hinges

It’s been my experience that you will have to source some originals. I could not find repops for our 30 Murray.

Re: Remove body from town sedan?

Be careful in lifting. There are metal panels covering the wood in the top of the door opening, these panels will get damaged with weight of body in them.
