I would bet many As were sold as black. Black was a common car color that was easily touched up when needed.

I guess it is who does the work. I had very good luck doing my saggy '66 Mustang rears. I had them work them up so I had 1" over stock height at the bumper, and just a bit stiffer to aid cornering....

Eaton Detroit will give you a new spring and re-arching will give you a like new spring. Flip a coin. Of course rebuilding the original spring is dependent on its general condition.

No need to be afraid of this combo. The oil is from grass grown in the soil and the turpentine is from trees grown in the same soil, or maybe close by.

50/50 works well, it has odor until it dries out mostly from the solvent. Use boiled oil not raw. It soaks into the wood and hardens to the fibers of the wood. Try some on a piece of scrap and see...
