29 Canadian Fordor Leatherback 60A or 60B?

I was just at a friends place checking out the progress on his 28 AR Roadster Coupe and he shows me his new book. The Model A Judging Standards. Anyhow I’m checking out the Canadian car section and...

Re: Australian A's

Does your car use Robertson screws in the body like the Canadian cars?

Re: 1929 Murray Exterior Door Handles

Re: The 60-A, B, C Fordor Sedans

The body is put together with Robertson screws so if not built in Canada for sure assembled in Canada.

Re: The 60-A, B, C Fordor Sedans

I have a Canadian car built on February 13 1929. Did Canadian cars switch over to 60B the same time as US? This Ford garage site mentions New Zealand cars as 60A in February but no mention of...

Re: Replacement SS 28-29 hubcaps not fitting

Mine were the opposite. Even using a rubber mallet, I had to tap them way harder than I felt comfortable with but they did finally go.

Re: Hood supports

My '29 Fordor has a set on the upper rad tank. I read 28/29's came that way from the factory. But the hood doesn't seem to come even close to resting the hood on.

Re: Interior Colour Match

Does anyone have a picture of Camel Brown interior to compare? I know lighting makes a difference. I used fluorescent lighting. Here’s another picture showing a door panel.

Re: Interior Colour Match

That’s what I’m trying to do. It’s the same material and colour as my swatch I’m comparing.

Interior Colour Match

I bought a partial old stock interior kit last fall and now installing. I need some more material for the back corners and a few more places but having a hard time matching the colour. Ecklers tells...

Re: More Legroom in 28/29 Briggs Fordor

Here’s a couple more pictures showing the base of the seat cradle back. Before and after 1” back.

Re: More Legroom in 28/29 Briggs Fordor

Yes. This would be hard to do once the upholstery is done.

Re: Headlamp bucket question

My 29 tilts forward like the 30 you show. I thought 28 and 29 were same.

Re: Headlamp bucket question

Is the bolt head seized to the bucket? I thought there was some movement there to adjust.

More Legroom in 28/29 Briggs Fordor

I’ve seen a lot of people asking how to move the Front Seat back in a 28/29 Briggs Fordor. Since I was installing my headliner and without the front seat would be easier so I figured I’d kill two...

Re: Mocha Brown

My trim pieces were too faded and rusty to get a colour sample.
But I did do some searching of old posts on the Forum and found one also about Mocha Brown paint. Turns out someone was able to match...

Mocha Brown

My ‘29 Fordor Leatherback uses Mocha Brown paint for the interior window trim. My problem is trying to find a proper code or color swatch. Online shows Mocha Brown and Moulding Grey with the same...

Re: Max Speed of a Model A with 26% OD and HC Head

Remember what kind of brakes these cars have. Especially if you’re not using cast drums.

Re: Back Window Fit in '29 Briggs Fordor

Wow. This is exactly the repair I came up with thinking of how I could fix without removing any top. One piece going between the bow and window and the other between the inside window frame and bowed...

Re: Back Window Fit in '29 Briggs Fordor

So what about the inside window frame? Is it correct for the car? And those corner pieces have to be for a different frame.
PS. Sorry but I’m building a driver not a show queen so I’m going to make...

Re: Back Window Fit in '29 Briggs Fordor

I’m thinking maybe I glue the seal to the glass with weather stripping adhesive and then fill the gap with good black silicone. That way water shouldn’t be able to migrate up past the seal where...
