Re: What is this NOS 6 Cylinder Exhaust Manifold From?

Not sure. If I had to guess, I would say 240 or 300 Ford 6 cyl.

Re: Adding turbo to classic FE block

I thought 361's were available in '58 Edsels only. In '59 it was substituted with the 292. Ford trucks called it a 360. Not sure which years trucks had it.

Re: preferred 2 barrel Y-block intake manifold?

The '55 and '56 intake manifolds for 3 bolt two barrel carbs shold both have ECG-9424 casting numbers followed by an A, B or F. The only difference I'm aware of is the '56 intake having a hole for...

Re: 1953 V8 carb choices

Charlie ny on this forum may have a carb correct for a '53. That would save sending your carb back and forth. Sounds like your carb is in rough shape too.

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons

If you look at the bottom of the drivers door on this custom Edsel wagon, you can see it was really a four door with the rear doors filled in.

Re: preferred 2 barrel Y-block intake manifold?

The highest air flow 3 bolt Holley/Ford carb is the '56 for the 272 engine.
It has the 1 1/16" venturi's like the '55 carb, but is also has larger throttle bores in the base.

Re: preferred 2 barrel Y-block intake manifold?

I agree. We're both correct. Two ways to look at it.

Re: preferred 2 barrel Y-block intake manifold?

The '55 and '56 three bolt manifolds should be the same as far as port size. Only difference I can think of is the '56 manifold has a provision for at warm air tube for automatic choke carbs.
The...

Re: I need Carb. & Fuel Pump rebuilt, WHO?

I can do the carburetor, and Charlie ny should be able to do the fuel pump. Not sure what year car and carb you have. If it's a Holley 94 type or Stromberg 97, Chalie ny and Uncle Max have the most...

Re: Vacuum Gauge Question

They are not junk when they don't retrun to zero. They're still good for adjusting idle mixture, setting timing, and engine diagnostics. You just have to know the actual vacuum is slightly lower than...

Re: Lawsons 97's ( LC ) + vintage kits

Hi flatrod, if you have any gasket sets or other parts for '53 through '56 Holley teapot carbs, I would be interested.

Re: 1950 Ford F7, carb leaking fuel

Maybe I'm missing something here, but the governor is all contained on the carburetor with the Holley Centri-Vac governor. I would guess that the spacer may have been added under the carb, or maybe...

Re: 1950 Ford F7, carb leaking fuel

The official Holley model number is 885FFG. The G meaning governor. On Pass cars it was an 885FF.
Everything Rotorwrench said is good info.

Re: ford holley 94 carb only 1 yr old

Thank you for the picture Ross F-1. I'm not good at posting them on the Ford Barn.
If the fit is sloppy between the lever and brass shaft it can be peened to take out the slop, or the shaft can...

Re: ford holley 94 carb only 1 yr old

If you're sure the return spring is doing it's job, then chek to make sure the throttle lever on the carb throttle shaft is still peened well, and not sloppy. If sloppy the shaft may not rotate as...

I guess we're just talking to ourselves again, since Himi52 hasn't replied since he first asked for suggestions.
