Yes, you'd have to drain a gallon of coolant, then remove the top hose.

The screen holes are smaller than they look in the picture. It will certainly keep any rust from plugging the radiator tubes.

You can slip it into the top of the hose, so the lip of the filter is against the radiator inlet, and the brass fits inside the radiator pipe. The filter lip is large enough to keep the filter from...
