What did the core cost? When did you purchase it? and who did you purchase it from?

As I understand it, Maine Radiator only sells through distributors/ commercial customers.

I strongly recommend having an original radiator re-cored or purchasing a quality reproduction copper core radiator.

Please save yourself the trouble and throw that gasket away. There are plenty of people who have had bad experiences with that head gasket, including myself.

Instead, use Best Gasket Part #509G/...

This is the problem. The machine shop that originally did the work didn’t cut the seat concentric to the the guide. The guide was loose enough that it allow the valve to seal enough for a few...

Exhaust Valve Seat

I have a damaged hardened valve seat (1.625”).. It will need to be increased to the next size. Is there enough “meat” in the block to accept a 1.750” valve seat on #4 exhaust?

Yup. I chased my tail forever trying to determine the cause of foaming anti-freenze.

New leak-less style pump and a thermostat fixed the issue.

I'm thinking the crank thrust wore prematurely.... check the crankshaft endplay.
