1932 Distributor

This is a nice cleaned '32 Distributor with original internal parts. It's a pretty early one with the small diameter points and braker plate adjustment without index. External parts rust protected by...

Re: Bright 32 Radiator Shell?

On a vacation photo from Spain someone showed me a 32 with a somewhat rust pitted chrome grill shell. Most likely no 32s left any Ford plant with those ugly grill shells. If someone can prove the...

Re: Newest Acquisition --- 1934 Station Wagon

Congratulations Mike to a car we never saw here in Sweden as far as I know. In this hobby we all plan for an age of 125, at least I do, so good luck!

Re: 47 Ford antenna

A closed 47 should have cowl top mounted antenna while the convertibles had a cowl side mount antenna. However, the center mount antenna would fit. I have never heard of the need of an antenna...

Re: Gas Tank Sending Unit Woes - 46 Merc

Ordered a new tank for my 47 Merc from Drake when he introduced it at the Lake Tahoe meet in 2013. Half a year later when it arrived, and I intended to install it I noticed the original sender didn't...

Re: 1937 Convertible Top Iron Paint Formula

Re: 47 coupe trans mount

I just had my gearbox removed in my 1947 Merc Conv in order to avoid touching the engine when replacing the clutch. I'm done and offer you the following. You don't need to remove the seat, floor pan...

Re: 59 AB a Ford or Mercury?

I'm confused. What is actually the fact? I was told by an EFV-8 Club authority that the production engines in the 1946-48 production Ford and Merc cars were 239s marked 59. The 59A and 59AB should be...

Re: Need some help on 1947 Ford Convertible floor pans

Be careful! What is referred to on eBay is not correct for your Merc. The center piece is Ford, not Merc!
This is the speaker grille. The middle three bars are a separate chrome unit and the rest...

Re: 1946-48 Ford electric clutch fan.

Has worked perfectly since 1980 on my '47 Merc Conv. When you start the engine and the cooling water is cold the fan just idles with a minimum of power. Then you can easily stop the fan with your...

Re: ford ´32 early pass side motor mount

In the 90's I traded a pair of these early mounts for a part I needed. We agreed on a value then of about $100. You might get the same amount for one today? A pair would multiply the value. Rgds Leif...

Re: 1956 Skyliner (Glasstop) Sun Visors

Thanks to all who tried on this issue. I should have been more clear. The Skyliner is NOT the convertible, which was named Sunliner. Yes, the Skyliner is the 64B, 603 made in 1956. My question seems...
