Re: Peep mirrors

Re: Recommended Turning Signal Switch

I bought my Signal Stat 900 from Sacramento Vintage Ford. It was wired specifically for a Model A. That was 12 years ago and it has worked without a problem.

I bought one of the 12v horns from A&L back when they were still selling to the general public. It has worked just fine.

Re: Peep mirrors

I have the hinge pin mirror arms on both sides of my CCPU. I have 6" convex mirrors again on both sides. Best combination ever. Arms came from Snyder's, mirrors from Amazon.

Re: 1:48 scale Model A cars and trucks.

I bought a 1:87 (Which I believe is H0) on eBay. Made by Busch in Germany. They may make them in 0 scale as well, wouldn't hurt to check.

Re: Identify this front main crank seal

That is probably a Burtz (modern) seal. If you replace it with the rope seal that came with your gasket set, you will have to replace the top half as well.

Re: Straightening up a couple of Model A's (Advice needed)

Just going by the title or the thread, I'd send them to their corners with a promise of a good whoopin' if they didn't straighten up! (:>)

Re: Engine rebuilder?

If you were thinking of H&H, I personally will not use them for anything -- based on the engine that was in my rig when I bought it.

Re: Motor stand adapter for Model A engine

Just a hint: On mine, I drilled and tapped a couple of holes in order to have a place to store the bolts I use to bolt the adapter to the engine, that way I don't have to turn my shop upside down...

Re: Best Electric Fuel Pump?

I was using the Carter fuel pump offered by the Model A vendors until it failed. I then went to O"Rileys and bought one off the shelf. It has outlasted the Carter and is still going strong.
