I had an early 40 Standard with the sheet metal style center grille. I think they are rare as Bob Drake wanted to buy it or trade it for one of his cast centers. 40larry

If the water is not allowed to boil and a working pressure radiator cap is used the pressure should not exceed the cap pressure. I see no valid reason to pressure test above 10 to 15 psi.

No. The door glass goes up and down only. The rear quarter glass goes sideways alsoi.

Talk to Joe Longobardi in Temple City CA. He builds them and sells them. 626-287-1836 and he is a 1936 expert also!

This is backside vue of a 1940 truck heater. He has a 1941 truck which uses a much different shaped heater and mounting layout for the holes in firewall.

When an engine transmission assembly is separated there is no number that stays with the engine. Right? Therefore if one locates an engine alone there is no way to know the VIN number of the car...

Is there really an engine number? It is not found on the engine. VIN number is for vehicle ID and on transmission case and frame.

Many years ago I had a 41 Conv with 38 engine with an\ crank extension. Thought it was a custom made part but now find they were available. Fred is amazing.

1939 Convertible rumble lid latch to handle parts

the last statement is wrong. 1940 and 1941 wheels are 4 inches wide. I do not know when change to 4.5 inches was made but all 1946 to 1948 wheels are 4.5 inches in width.

I think that you are correct but my block measures close to 239 bore size. It probably was bored at some time to the larger size.

there are some early 59 blocks that also have the so called ledge and pass the pencil test. They have the big 59 on bellhousing and i believe they were identified as 41a cast during the 1944 1945...
