Re: Is a lightened flywheel overrated? (I think so)

With a 60 lb flywheel, non synchronous transmission and a well worn model A, I find waiting for the engine rpm to drop so I can complete a double clutch upshift to be painfully long; slowing down,...

Re: Does your Coupe have a Trunk or Rumble seat

Put lap seat belts in my coupe's rumble seat and quickly realized that the rumble seat is not a safe place for passengers. In a collision (with seat belts), the rumble occupant will be thrown...

Re: Mystery: Tie-Rod Shock Absorber

I rebuilt the entire steering linkage on my A about one year ago. New kingpins and bushings, replaced the steering arms with renewed balls, replaced the tie rod ball with a new round one and rebuilt...

Re: F150 tranny with overdrive

Since the Mitchel trans and OD unit have lifetime waits, I have been reading old posts regarding other transmission swaps. The comments about the T5 having a too low 1st and a minimal OD ratio makes...

Re: juice brakes questiones

My system works just fine. The MC must be matched to the braking system. Slightly more pedal travel if a complete, catastrophic failure occurs in primary circuit. Brakes are functional. Over and...

Speedometer display bounces

When driving on very smooth roads, my speedometer display is fairly stable. Other times, the readout jumps up and down across a 10 mph range; rough roads may be the reason. Is this normal? Or, is...
