Truth is, our empty "Ford shoes" shoes will never be filled, just replaced by the newer style. Time just marches on and history recedes, replaced by the new.

It might be easier to just use a GM one wire alternator as brackets are already
available. Direct bolt in.

This OEM generator is for a 1953 Ford 8BA using wide belts.. With the shiny sheet metal cover removed, the outside dia. of the case is 4 7/8 inches. (123.825mm) It's for sale. Wish you were closer.

The cooler the ambient temperature, the cooler your engine will run.
I have found that 180 to 195 is ok.

As for the trunk, meticulously examine each hinge to check for "wearing" and patiently
study the feel of each hinge to see if each hinge is exerting same ...
